What is Aziderm cream?

Prescription with Aziderm cream 20% is written to handle acne in patients. It helps in reducing formation and spread of pimples (papules) on the skin along with diminishing spots or whiteheads and blackheads.

How does Aziderm cream work to treat acne?

Aziderm cream 20% comes with micronized Azelaic acid 20% as active content. It’s an antibacterial class of medication which shows keratolytic properties as well to treat acne conditions.

Aziderm cream shows antibacterial properties at topical use. It penetrates the skin when applied on the affected area and work to restrict further growth of certain form of bacteria causing acne (Propionibacterium acnes).  The bacterial infection on the acne skin also causes irritation and inflammation. Regular use of Aziderm provides relief from such kind of intolerable skin conditions.

What are the contra indicatory conditions for using Aziderm cream?

Patients with following health conditions should not use Aziderm cream 20%:

  • Allergies with azelaic acid or any ingredients in Aziderm cream
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding a baby

How to use Aziderm cream 20%?

  • After cleaning and drying area where you want to apply this topical solution, you can use it gently.
  • The frequency of use depends on your acne condition. In general, two time use daily is recommended for best results.
  • Following application clean your hands again unless you are applying solution on hands.
  • Use the medication carefully and avoid direct contact from eyes, nose and mouth.
